Complex Neurodevelopmental Assessments: We prefer referrals from a Pediatrician or a Child/ Adolescent Psychiatrist for complex neurodevelopmental assessments (incl. Autism Assessments). However, we can also accept GP referrals where the need for an assessment has also been suggested by a teacher, psychologist, speech therapist, or occupational therapist who has worked directly with you/ your child. Please note that Medicare rebates will only apply with specialist referrals.
ADHD: We require a Pediatrician or Psychiatrist referral for ADHD assessments. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept GP or direct referrals for ADHD assessments.
Our assessment processes aim to comprehensively gather information from standardised assessment tools, developmental interviews, direct interaction and observation. We hope to learn as much about you / your child’s individual strengths and challenges so that we can put forward a considered diagnostic outcome. However, there are times where further specialist investigations or interventions need to be conducted prior to putting forward a diagnostic opinion.
Additionally, where a specific diagnostic outcome is not indicated for you/ your child, our team will provide an opinion as to other factors that may underlie the presentation, along with targeted recommendations and next steps.
Our fees depend on the type, length, and complexity of the assessment. Please email us on admin@neurologix.com.au or call us on (08) 6146 3170 for our current fee schedule.
